Katherine Hanson

Katherine Hanson is an incoming associate with Maier Pfeffer Kim Geary & Cohen LLP.

Katherine is a graduate of UC Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings). Prior to law school, she received her B.A. in Political Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with minors in Spanish and Women’s and Gender Studies. Katherine spent her time at university and in law school dedicated to working on ICWA cases for several judges in Superior Court, as well as on environmental matters at MPKGC and the Pacific Community. She is passionate about the intersection between water rights and tribal sovereignty and her work relating to the decision in Arizona v. Navajo Nation was recently published. She also has a background in business, IP, and corporate governance through the Corporate Counsel Program at Delicato Family Wines. She graduated cum laude from UC Law, San Francisco in 2025 and received CALI awards for both Legal Research and Writing and Business Associations.
